Play Dough Sounds // using wooden or magnetic letters push them into play dough to create sounds and pictures. If you don’t have any letters, using a pencil or lolly pop stick draw the sounds into the dough. Play dough is so versatile, great for developing those hand muscles and finger control.
Phonics Mixture ~ phonics game. Children create their own magic mixture of sound soup, children can choose objects with different sounds to pop into their bowl. Children could draw their magic mixture.
Ping Pong Phonics🏓 ~ label the balls and pop into water and children can scoop them out. An alternative would be to hide the balls in a soft bag and children can pull out the balls recalling the different sounds. Or change the sounds to numbers. Have a great Friday 🏼

Phonics Game // sound flip ~ a quick simple to set up, using a play frying pan, cut out circles with phase 2/3 phonemes written on them. If you haven’t got time to write them download from @tesresources Phonemes are the sounds e.g. igh is one sound n-igh-t , night has just 3 sounds. . What types of games do you play in class? This is a preview of a pack of quick set up games to support the learning of phonics at home or in school. I’ve left this out for my toddler to play with, he’s not going to read the sounds yet but good to let them see letters and sounds- plus he loves flipping pancakes!
