Founded by former Deputy Head & SENDCo and mother of 2, Michelle Poulson, Print Play Learn came from the frustration met by many of today’s teachers – not being able to find unique, child-centered resources which reflect the ethos of their classrooms: joy before learning goals.
In 2013, while teaching in a large Federation of London Primary Schools, Michelle decided to skip the frustration of searching through generic, overly bright classroom resources and create her own. She was determined there must be another way for fellow teachers.
Less planning, more joy, and easy access to beautiful resources shaped by the latest research on child development.
Not finding the solution, Michelle decided to create it herself by allowing others to download her EYFS & KS1 teaching resources on her first blog “Harriet + Violet”.
After having her first child, Michelle then decided to step away from teaching and focus on raising her own children, eagerly creating learning resources on the side. In 2017, Print Play Learn was officially launched as a membership site tailored to parents and teachers wanting to cut out planning time while increasing delight and wonder in primary education.
When she’s not playing with her own children, Michelle still personally creates each resource with a focus on simplicity, fun and the power of learning through play.
