Year 1 Phonics Test Week Beginning June 22nd 2013

We love sharing our resources. We are making simple but useful IWB files to support in Early Years (EYFS), KS1 and KS2 classrooms.

We don’t really agree with the phonics test however, we need to support children with it. We have made some resources to help the children.

Below is a screen show from one of our IWB to support children in reading real and pseudo (alien) words. This will hopefully support them in their phonics test. The IWB file can be accessed on our link with the TES.

We have made some phonics flashcards which contain real and pseudo words. Each card shows a pseudo word next to a picture of an alien like the DfE phonics screening test. These can help children in Year 1 taking the test this year as well as children in Year 2 re-taking the test from last year. Look in our Year 1 Phonics Test tag.

If you have any other suggestions of resources to support the children then let us know!
